I led branding and communications on the inaugural Arts Datathon co-presented with LA County Arts Commission identifying key audiences.
The Arts Datathon, the first of its kind in the nation, invited the public to explore the use of data in improving access to the arts in the Los Angeles region in 2017, a partnership between the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. In one day, the event drew over 150 participants and crowd-sourced data-informed cultural strategies and programs. Building on existing data, participants prototyped 11 projects of apps and services and shared them publicly.
This convening demonstrated a model for City-County data partnership with between DCA and LACAC and initiated efforts toward region-wide data governance in Los Angeles.
